These are reports across the FTX Telegram as well as the Reddit page. The Telegram app is FILLED with complaints like these. The complaints say users are waiting to withdrawal anywhere from one hour to 17 hours and more since yesterday. Some seem to have succeeded eventually but it's hard to say because users who finally withdraw may not return to the group to say they have succeeded. Of those that do eventually withdraw, they saw they depended to support to solve the issue. I do not know if other who do not or can't turn to support even withdraw successfully. Now at least one of the Reddit OP's said they had their issue resolved. I want to be clear that even though this is not necessarily indicative of the platform going under. It may well be a mania or panic by users that are overwhelming the platform as many seek to withdraw at the same time. HOWEVER, the risk is probably NOT WORTH IT. I recommend getting your funds off and waiting for things to settle at the very least. EDIT: Also remember that FTX is NOT FDIC insured. A few months ago, FTX was hit with a cease-and-desist by the Federal Deposit Insurance Commission for making 'false and misleading statements' that suggested they were FDIC insured. If they fail, no one is coming to save you. [link] [comments] |
