After reading the book A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson, which is a popular science book that explains a little bit of science history, in a kind of chronological order.
I came a across a quote towerds the end of the book, from a geographer among other professions, named Alexander Von Humboldt, (He was an oddball egocentric guy). Anyways...he goes on to say that.
"There are three stages of scientific discovery: first people deny it is true; then they deny it is important; finally they credit the wrong person"
After reading that, it felt like that quote applied pretty well to the Crypto space. And got me thinking that the Crypto space is entering the 2ed phase of the quote.
1.First people deny it is true; (A very broad history on Crypto) Since it's inception in the mid 80's, Blockchain technology was only a theory. Then it was proven in the 90s that blockchain technology was possible and could be effective and accurate. Then in 2008, Bitcoin was created, and it was demonstrated that the efficiency and security of a digital currency could be used and traded all while be decentralized from financial institutions. And not long after that, new coins and ecosystems have only improved how Scalability, Speed and Security is being handled.
Then they deny it is important; I think this is the time we are in now.
Finally they credit the wrong person. ??
What's everyone's else's take on this prospective?
