As virtually all crypto projects are open source, it's possible to see how many times the developers updated the code during the past week/month/etc. While I was bored during the lockdown I made a side project to start tracking this for thousands of different crypto projects, since no other site seemed to be doing it very well.
Of course it's not the only thing you should look at before investing. I think it's a useful way to understand which projects are likely to be advancing and which projects might have stalled though.
Here's the top 10 most updated projects (by Github commits), with a market cap higher than $100M, for the past 4 weeks:
- Cardano (1205 commits)
- Filecoin (901)
- Flow (855)
- Elrond (839)
- Ethereum (836)
- MaidSafeCoin (723)
- Solana (597)
- Lisk (580)
- Status (568)
- e-Radix (531)
Let me know what you guys think! I also track lines of code added/deleted and on the site you can see the history over time. Happy to share some more data. Cheers!
