Tis the season to see if I fall for it again. The season of buying into alts and not BTC.

Been in crypto long enough to be part of a few bear markets. Most of my portolfio is BTC and ETH, but I look back on my past mistakes and realize I could’ve had much bigger bags in the “big two.” I fell for, what I thought was, promising alt coins that’ll guarantee 100x at least. Now, I didn’t lose all my money on all these alts but I would say the majority did not turn out well.

Fast forward to this bear market and the temptations are still there, despite knowing of my past mistakes. The good thing is, the overwhelming majority of my DCAing has been BTC. Still, FOMO and what if’s race through my mind constantly.

Hey, some of these projects could be legit. Before my most recent buys of BTC, I’m thinking, “hmmm maybe I should dabble in Kaspa, Polkadot, Kusama, Quant, meme coins…to name a few.

I can say, with confidence, I’ve done much better this time around. I’d say about 90% of my investments during this bull run have been into BTC. 10% into much riskier cryptos isn’t bad right?

The mistakes of the past still haunt me tk this day. As I race with thoughts of how much better I could be financially and how much stronger my portfolio would be.

Anyone else feel the same way as this? Struggle on a fear of missing out on these alts? How have you handled it?
