(Un)staking ETH on Kraken - how would you determine the risks?

Happy Merge Day everyone!

I was about to stake ETH on kraken (don't trust Rocketpool and I don't have 32 ETH to stake). Kraken says the transition that will make unstaking ETH possible may take years or even never take place at all, which seems more like a disclaimer.

  1. Are you guys confident that unstaking will be possible within the next few years? Or is it a gamble?
  2. They are offering 4-7%, which is more than I would save in paying off on my loan at 3.7%. I'm now wondering if the risk is worth it!

Thanks and Greetings!

/disclaimer: I don't consider your answers financial advice, I just want your opinions on this :)
