Opendime is a USB stick described as a disposable hardware wallet and is compatible with any computer, laptop, and phone. A third-party wallet is still required to move funds in and out of Opendime and users can import the private key into any bitcoin wallet to start spending.
A key part of the Opendime security model is that it acts like a piggy bank as it requires to be destroyed to spend the funds. There is no password or seed phrase, only a private key is generated within the device at the time of setup.
When the USB is plugged into a device, it will generate a QR Code and text files along with your bitcoin address. Using the QR Code you can check your balance, payment address and once unsealed, your private key.
It can be unsealed using a Push Pin at any time to reveal a private key and to start spending your Bitcoin online.
