What is Stopping A Node From Sending Out False Proof Of Works?

Hope you guys are all doing good today. I have a question regarding Bitcoin’s spam prevention mechanisms. For instance, consider a Bitcoin node (let’s say connected to 125 other nodes) participated in the mining of Bitcoin. What is stopping them from sending false proofs of work to their peers in order to overload their servers? BTW, by false proofs of work, I mean that a node is providing its peers with a proof of work that does not correspond to the difficulty level of that block. For instance, sending hashes that are greater than the given target.

I’ve considered the fact the spammer’s peers would be able to identify the malicious actions and ultimately eject the attacker from the network. But how does it prevent from the spam node from IP spoofing/hiding identity and reconnecting and spamming the network again?

Thanks
