what is the purpose of buying NFT art, lets say a digital painting, when you can't display it in your own home?

sorry for the dumb question lol

just so confused with NFT art but it really picks my curiosity

so i have this idea in my head that people buy art because they appreciate it, and they would want to display it in their homes or their studios perhaps, or maybe they can have a gallery, curator, or museum, borrow it for a show and they can make money off of it too

but for NFT art, what's the purpose of it? what's in it for the buyer? is it just all about ownership? i guess im just confused as to why would anyone wanna buy a piece of art that cannot be shared like in a traditional sense?
