Which blockchain did you genuinely enjoy using?

All Cryptocurrencies

This is not a question of what bag do you expect to make most profits of or which blockchain do you find the most technically advanced. It is more about which blockchain did you find the easiest to deal with and enjoyed some aspects of.

I will go first, my crypto usage is mostly staking, DEX swapping, DeFi farming, NFT, and a little bit of gaming. I mostly interacted with Ethereum and some of its L2s, Polkadot and some of its parachains, Solana, Algorand, Flow and Avalanche.

I found interacting with new L1s (Solana and Algorand) to be the most straight forward, fast and cheap transactions, great looking wallets, intuitive DeFi and such.

Ethereum mainnet is a pain in the ass, the gas fees just make it unusable most of the time. Bridging to/from L2s like Polygon, Arbitrum or Immutable X is not too bad given that main gas currency remains ETH, but I end opening too many websites to bridge tokens and swap them.

Polkadot is a weird one, I hate that I use DOT as the gas currency on the beacon chain, but if I cross transfer tokens to Acala or Astar or whatever then I need the destination token to continue going. They need to have DOT as a gas currency across the board. They had a rough start from a user interface perspective but it's gotten much better now with new wallets and tools.

Avalanche is like a cheaper Ethereum, you can use Metamask, and it has loads of DeFi options that are variations on Ethereum main dapps. But using the different subnets can be a pain the ass too.

Flow seems more like Web2 than Web3, it is mostly an NFT platform, and you can get your NFTs without doing anything crypto (like writing down a seed phrase, signing contracts, swapping tokens). You can pretty much just use your email and credit card to get the NFTs you want. Easy, but doesn't feel "decentralized".

Solana and Algorand have been the most user friendly and have the crypto feeling. Great wallets, great interfaces, and like I mentioned, transactions are fast and cheap. I mostly used Algorand for DeFi and governance voting, and Solana for gaming.

Which blockchain did you find the most user friendly and enjoyable?
