I am trying to understand the guarantees in optimistic rollups. If a sequencer is malicious and a block is successfully challenged, which guarantees do I have?
- Are all transactions after the challenged block rolled back, or only the ones that would introduce conflicting state?
- If the challenged block contained a (valid) transfer to myself, do I have any guarantee that this transfer will be included in a subsequent block? Or could the sender frontrun the transfer afterwards?
I have not really found any good summary of guarantees online and I feel like most protocols and blog posts only briefly touch these topics. If anyone know of good resources, I'd be happy if you'd share them. Thanks in advance!
