Who pulled the rug?

I was checking in on how the Sundaeswap launch was going a few days ago by going to the Cardano subreddit to check it out. One of the posts I came across was related to a rug pull by CardStarter: https://np.reddit.com/r/cardano/comments/s9t5bi/cardstarter_just_rug_pulled_on_their_community/

I was not a part of the CardStarter community, but from what I understand, people bought their tokens after being promised that they would get something at Sundae's launch, but then the CardStarter team did not make good on that. I think part of the anger also came from the perception that CardStarter was tied to or closely working with Sundae in some way. This led to that post in the Cardano subreddit and similar ones in the CardStarter subreddit and Twitter feed.

Sundae then wrote a medium post giving their side, mainly saying they weren't working closely with CardStarter and are not responsible for how another organization markets itself: https://sundaeswap-finance.medium.com/addressing-the-cardstarter-community-562de667d755. They also promised to help out the CardStarter community by giving an airdrop to people affected.

If those are genuine, unedited messages, then it would appear that a few days before Sundae's launch, Sundae reduced the token amount they had agreed to give the CardStarter team two months prior. It's been suggested that CardStarter was not able to show this until Sundae broke their NDA first by writing the medium post, but if the messages are true, then it seems Sundae played CardStarter and tried to paint themselves as the hero by giving an airdrop to the CardStarter community.

Be careful out there everyone. When tens/hundreds of millions of dollars are a lie away, you never know what someone is willing to do.
