Why is Taproot taking so long to get adopted?

It seemed like Segwit took around 2 years to get adopted and become the standard for new wallets. But we're over 2 years into Taproot and it still seems like it isn't taking off.

Can you send Bitcoin from Coinbase to a Taproot address yet?

Do most wallets support Taproot yet?

I fully admit, I'm not well versed on Taproot. I'm in the process of switching away from Ledger (since I no longer trust them) to a new wallet and setup. I'm also thinking about switching from singlesig to multisig, which is why I'm so interested in Taproot.

How much longer do you think it'll take before Taproot becomes as common as native Segwit was in 2019?
