Will BTC survive the times

BTC is, and always will be, the foundation of Cryptocurrency and what it stands for. But will it be the forever currency when you consider emergency stable coins that are more efficient, cost friendly and less expensive to operate/transactions?

I have always been very weary of alt-coins due to lack of stability, cult following price determinations and lack of deterministic longevity. But are there any true alt-coins that will be more universally accepted and supported than BTC?
