Just a reminder that X-ray machines that the TSA and all countries use can see the seed phrase on your metal plates or stamped letters and these images are stored in a giant database if needed to be retrieved later. As more people get into crypto you need to think about every possible attack vector that someone could steal your crypto.
Edit: Several people are saying a passphrase will solve this issue. It helps prevent access to your funds, but your passphrase should not be used as a first line of defense. It’s only used as the final layer of security if someone were to obtain the seed phrase. (Which we don’t even want to happen in the first place.)
Edit 2: people seem to be forgetting the concept of “security in depth”. Just cause you ‘can’ should you? Survivorship bias is real and until it happens to you people say “oh it’s not a big deal” and discount the risks. But I also forget most people here only hold 3-6 figures of crypto so if you lose it I’m sure it’s no big deal.
