Fees are the gatekeeper for poor countries. Satoshi wanted to bank the unbanked, but crypto fees are absurd and prevent wider adoption.

I'm not wealthy by any means, but I live in a first world country and fees have completely prevented me from wanting to send/use/trade on DeFi. I can only imagine how it must feel to be new to crypto and have to spend $60 just do do a trade for $30 worth of crypto. It makes no sense at all.

Satoshi literally created Bitcoin to help bank the unbanked, and now those are the people who are left out. So basically, the ones who can afford to trade 10's of thousands don't care about a $50 fee, and they make loads of money, but the rest of us are basically just forced to HODL and not send money anywhere.

I know this is probably a classic trope here in /r/CC but fees are a joke.
