MultiversX Tracker is Live!

Let's be real. Have you even invested in a coin or project just because it was getting hyper either here, Twitter, YouTube etc. without properly researching it? Here are some tips I have for you.

All Cryptocurrencies

Hello everyone.

Again the things I am about to write are not rocket science and many people in the crypto space knows about them but as said on a previous post I prefer to see these things getting repeated than random prediction of random people. In the end this can help someone dodge a bullet so it's worth the time it takes to write it.

  1. Mix up your info sources
Don't rely solely on what you see on ONE network or ONE news site. Always diversify your sources. If someone's account just popped up yesterday he is not most likely the next Vitalik or the next Elon. Proceed with cautious when you invest your money.
  2. Conduct thorough research
Before you invest in any Crypto project (and in everything in particular) take the time to understand its purpose, technology, team and roadmap. Read the whitepaper, explore the project's GitHub repository and look for red flags like a lack of transparency or a team with no verifiable credentials.I know some of these things are "boring" but again you want to invest your money. If you blindly do it then it is just gambling. I prefer to take calculated risks in the end of the day.
  3. Evaluate the community
Engage with the community around the project you are interested in. Look for good discussions and active participation. If you see overly aggressive one sided promotion then this is quite a red flag.
  4. Beware of unrealistic promises
If you see promises about guaranteed high returns or unrealistic claims about the project then be skeptical. If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
  5. Exercise caution with social media
Recognize that all these platforms can be easily manipulated by someone who wants to promote his project. Nowadays getting likes, followers and fake numbers on almost everything became a piece of cake even for people without any tech knowledge. So always cross-verify information from multiple sources to minimize the risk of getting rekt in a fake project.

Just remember that you are going to invest your money. Treat them as you were going to treat them in every other invest and don't blindly follow someone on the internet. In the end the only person to trust is you.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

George
