Hi good people!
My grandma received an extremely sketchy email about having some bitcoin on a lost account. She did in fact invest in bitcoin a few years ago so it's not totally out of line. She dared not open the link the email sent.
Then however, people claiming to be from Binance have called MANY times telling her that she could access the same amount of bitcoin mentioned in the previous email. She finally listened and created an account with the help of this person by giving them her identification details (idk why she gave these people her id). I now just checked how the identification system on Binance works and as I thought you don't need to give anyone but Binance your info. They say that they want my grandma to deposit 10% of the 'lost' bitcoin as fiat balance and then they will send the 'lost' bitcoin. Sounds like BS to me but I don't know how this stuff works
Now that I've written it down this definetly feels like a scam, but I still would like to know the opinions of people who regularly use Binance! If they call again (I'm planning to pickup myself and set my foot down), is there some way for me to know if they're truly from Binance?
All help is appreciated! :D
