Is there a "good" way to use a public facing address that receives Bitcoin repeatedly?
We've all seen addresses on websites or elsewhere intended to receive repeated transactions (i.e. tips, donations, etc.). I understand this is not a best practice for Bitcoin privacy: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse
But lots of folks including many who are clearly familiar with Bitcoin privacy practices have static, public facing addresses to receive Bitcoin, and this seems like a reasonable use case.
In general, are they applying some other privacy measures, or are they just compromising on security to receive small donations/tips etc., with the knowledge that the relevant address/wallet is not fully private?
Sorry if this is a newbie question. I've been hodling for some time, but never really got into some of these privacy issues until more recently.
