It was clearly an attack on his character that today, any bloke politician would easily survive being he wasn’t the the editor or really monitor this subsidiary, it was clearly a writer or editor stuck in their ways from a bygone era.
I was a fan of Ron because he had a shot at blowing up the whole Republican ticket, which I still believe is totally fucked and could have a good platform if they followed Paul. Instead they were terrified of losing the race (and said they were terrified of him pulling votes away).
