Sent ETH along BEP20 Network to Coinbase Wallet

Hi all,

At the beginning of the year I sent some ETH along the BEP20 network to a Coinbase wallet. At the time, I didn't know about the different networks and thus didn't send along the ERC20 network.

I have tried recovering my ETH according to the following links:

I found the transaction on bscscan.com but for some reason when adding the token to my metamask wallet for recovery, it still reveals 0 ETH instead of the amount I sent. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
