The same holds for Do Kwon. No matter how long they serve jail time (if ever), families were destroyed for good. It is outrageous that they get to move on with their lives while other's don't. We then have to see headlines like this: You might say that people were stupid in trusting exchanges to hold their coins, but that's just transferring the blame to the very victims of the events. Nobody that works hard to save some money thinking on a better future should have to go through this while their culprits go unharmed. In the waiting for the trials, I can't stand the fact that he will probably plead not guilty, which is what cowards like him and Do Kwon always do. This kid deserves to be in jail and I do hope the hammer of justice comes down hard on him, but I fear my hopes won't be fulfilled. Imagining him celebrating the New Year within the comfort of his parents' home and surrounded by family while his former clients who lost lifesavings probably won't be celebrating that much makes me numb. I hope we as a community have learned our things with this. [link] [comments] |
