I know there is a million questions already regarding BETH however one aspect of it is not clear to me.
When ETH2 is 'live' BETH holders will be able to convert BETH to ETH on a 1:1 basis. Now what does 'live' mean. For standalone ETH staking the witdrawals will be possible after 'the merge' i.e. beggining 2022.
However the original Binance BETH article (https://www.binance.com/en/eth2) states " You can redeem your ETH once the first phase is complete and ETH 2.0 implements shard chains ". Why wait for shard chains? That might come even 2023 and it is not necessary for withdrawals.
Although the new article (https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-is-beth-and-how-to-use-it) doesn't mention shard chains.
Any idea when BETH can be converted to ETH on a 1:1 basis (and yeah I know the ETH/BETH spot market exists but I am taking about a 1:1 conversion not 0.95:1).
