eth is choking rigth now?

did something happen?all of a sudden usual gas prices are up from 2 or 3 to 6 to 15 and now its at 75,90..... and there seems to be like a pile up/car accident domino effect on blockchain tech, something gets stuck the whole traffic starts piling up...
