Portfolio -50% from high last year

Hi all, as suggested above my portfolio is down pretty much 50% since the high. I won’t sell but I’m wondering how long people think this bear market will last and if consensus is that it’s going to continue its downward trend? I feel like I want to continue contributing to it while it’s on sale but don’t have spare funds at this point but can beg,borrow and steal if necessary to invest now if the usual bear market is short lived? I know no one has a crystal ball just wondering if anyone has any insight to prior crashes that could share their wisdom with me.
