Reddit NFT’s and bots - are we screwed?

Welp, looks like lots of us ended up with our foot in our mouth, after weeks of talking smack about Reddit NFT’s it’s clear we were way off and people are willing to speculate massive returns for the rarest mints and now everyone is clamoring to get theirs.

My question is - how long until, just like everything else, bots move in to snipe the rarest mints right at the moment of release of a new collection? How long until this becomes just another iteration of concert tickets selling out the moment they go on sale, empowering scalpers but blocking the average retail investor from getting in on it?

Genuinely curious, since we know how many bots comment on reddit I thought this might be a problem.
